Funding your art therapy:
I see the exchange of money actually as an exchange of energy, a commitment to one another and ourselves: it is an important symbol of this mutuality. I value myself, my skills and experience, and if I work with you it’s because I am confident that these and I can be of use to you; and that you value them too. I charge sessionally and will invoice you before each session to be paid by BACS transfer. Your contract tells you more about the details of this.
If you are not wanting to fund art therapy yourselves:
Funding can sometimes be sought through EHCP’s, schools pastoral care/SENCO’s, Care Programmes, Adoption Support funds, charities or similar.
I am happy to assist/discuss the need with you and/or these organisations, but I can’t source alternative funding for you. This funding would need to be in place before we can begin therapy. I would expect a minimum initial term for effective and safe therapeutic contact to be honoured (usually 6 sessions minimum) and my fees will take into account all associated admin, liaison, travel, special materials, room hire, reports and meetings; charged hourly or as a block.
